CHALLENGE
Design a product for people who live in small homes and apartments and want to grow their own produce.
approach
When downsizing to a smaller home, floor, and counter space becomes something that can not be sacrificed. I wanted to design a user-friendly planting system that would enhance a room without creating additional clutter. I also wanted to keep in mind that smaller homes often have less natural light sources and outdoor spaces that plants would traditionally need to thrive.
Problem
People living in small spaces don’t have room to grow their own produce or plants.
No prior experience gardening or growing their own food
